A Cow at a Library 🐄👇
Have you ever met a cow with her own library card? Meet Annie. This little sweetie may not have been dealt the best cards in life, but she certainly seems to have made the best of it.
Being born a cow in today’s world, in most cases, means a short life of exploitation and abuse. Annie is also almost completely blind and has a condition called dwarfism. And yet, despite all this, she now lives a happy life at a sanctuary, doesn’t seem to be bothered with her disabilities and yes, she really got her own library card.
Recently she was invited to the James City County Library to get her card. Due to her being blind, librarians selected an audiobook, appropriately titled “Moo”, for her to check out. She is always quick to make friends with everyone she meets and she had so much fun meeting everyone at the library:). Can you imagine meeting a cow at the library? Libraries are wonderful places to read, learn, and sometimes meet a cow :).
Annie’s home is @lifewithpigsfarmsanctuary where she lives, as the name suggests, with pigs, but also two other cows, chickens, sheep, turkeys, geese, dogs, a rabbit, a parrot and a couple of caring humans. Due to her dwarfism at a one year of age she looks closer in size to a sheep than a cow. But, what she lacks in size, she gains in sheer lovability.
