On the 3rd of October, I finally got the chance to visit one of the most beautiful places a plushie can visit. One place which, since I heard about it was at the top of my wishlist. It’s a place of kindness, compassion, and the peaceful coexistence of animals and humans.

How to put into words something that is beyond words, beyond logic? A sudden senseless loss of someone that is full of life, kind, gentle, and generous.
The late Dame Daphne Sheldrick once said that raising orphaned elephants is a “cocktail of joy, tempered with a good dose of tears.”

It takes great courage to be kind. Yet, to show love and compassion to someone that is legally not even considered someone but something, a commodity, a thing, sometimes requires an act of bravery.
Sophie is definitely someone. A young baby cow that got badly neglected and mistreated on a farm, was saved by a kind brave person. She was then brought to a “Life with Pigs” sanctuary where she was warmly welcomed by other animal residents and treated with love by the human carers. They treated her infections, gave her proper food and she quickly started to thrive.

Oh what a day. My human’s mommy made a special vegan fruit cake just for me. She helped me decorate it with native plants. I think she really likes me :).

How can people justify what they’re doing to animals? Did animals somehow deserve to be treated this way? Are humans really just cruel savages as some would say?
These are the questions that were going through my head when I read the story about a pregnant elephant that’s been given a pineapple filled with fireworks. How can anyone come up with such a horrendous idea?

How often do we hear the phrase “Mother Earth” related to our beautiful and only planet!? Very often, I’d say, but does that really mean something or is it just an empty phrase?
Mother, to me, is someone that enabled us to experience life, someone we love and care about. In reality, it seems that, “Evil Stepmother” would be more appropriate term considering the ways we’re acting towards our only home. We really are treating it as an evil stepmother.

A few months ago I adopted a plushie piggy we named Bella. She is incredibly sweet and we love her so much. Did you know that the real pigs, when given a chance, are also very sweet and loving? They are also very intelligent. After Chimps, Dolphins, and Elephants, Pigs are right there at the top in the animal world and comparable with a 3-year-old toddler.

Vegan Pancakes
This has always been one of Marko’s favourite recipes, he just loves pancakes! He could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner, everyday.
The best thing about them is that they are delicious, but much healthier than the standard pancakes! If you can’t live without Nutella, I prepared healthier vegan chocolate creme to replace Nutella and to make this pancakes a perfect fit for everyone.
This is a very easy recipe, it takes literally five minutes to put it together.
