For me, these vegan energy bites are pretty much the perfect snack. And you know how much I love sweets…hmm…too much I guess, hi hi. I make them very often and I can’t imagine my bear life without them! They are sweet, raw, nutritious and healthy. They are very easy to prepare and don’t take much time. You can even take them with you, when you are travelling or take them to work, instead of buying your usual snacks. My bear belly is very happy at the moment…

Vegan Energy Bites
- 1 cup of almonds
- 1 cup of cashews
- 1/2 cup of pecans
- 1 cup of oat flakes
- 1 tablespoon 100% raw cacao
- 4-5 tablespoon of coconut sugar
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- juice from 2 squeezed oranges
Grind the almonds, cashews, pecans and oat flakes and put it in a bowl. Add cacao, coconut sugar, coconut oil and mix it all together ( i do this with bare hands) and at the end add orange juice slowly. First, add just a half of the juice quantity and mix it together until it unites well. If it is still too dry and falling apart add more juice till you get it right.
When the paste is finished, form the round balls with hands in circle motion. To give it an extra taste roll the balls into the coconut or anything else you think it might work!
